Good afternoon Piranha Families
Firstly welcome back and welcome to our new families, for so many new swimmers last night I think it ran reasonably smoothly. One thing we do need to make sure is all nominations for events are to be lodged prior to 6pm, you can do this in advance if you wish for the rest of the season. Once we close that file off is when we run into some difficulty on the night.
All results from last night are now live in SwimTopia, for those who had manual times kept last night your results are also available.
For the new families or anyone who needs a refresh you can view all the times from each week, to do this either go to the app or the website, at the top right there is a drop down or 3 dots, click on that, choose My Account, choose your swimmers name, scroll down and you'll see Best Times. From here if you click on the Event ie 12 Freestyle it will open up each Meet and display a time for that Stroke Event. Any questions please come and see me next Tuesday and I can go through it with you.
Last night we had some great times across all distances, a reminder if your times are 21sec or less we would love to see you move up from the 12.5m to tackle the 25m. Your child can always move back down to the 12.5m if they wish but a good opportunity for them to move out of their comfort zone if appropriate.
A reminder each week our canteen is open to serve you and your families some yummy dinner. We don't just have nuggets and chips but also some delicious pastas, toasties, hot dogs and a variety of drinks, you name it we have tried to cater for all tastes, including vegetarian. Any feedback on the food or want to see something different please let us know.
As always we are open to hear your thoughts on how the Swim Club is running, you can send us a note, stop for a chat or join our monthly meetings which are held the first Thursday of every month during the swim season.
The committee is busy planning our end of season trophy night and have some great ideas underway. As always we are looking for sponsors or donations to make the night a huge success, if you know someone who can help bring our dreams to life, I'd love to hear from them.
See you all next week.
Cheers
