About the event

Overview of program

Capalaba State College P&C is offering an 8 week after-school activity program in Term 4 2022, for Prep to Year 3 students. The program aims to:

  • provide an encouraging,      inclusive and fun space for participants.
  • offer parents an after-school      option for their children.
  • collaborate with existing local      clubs.

All playing equipment will be provided.

Activities and costs

  • Soccer - Thursdays 13th,      20th and 27th October - $20 per student (capped at      50 students)
  • Hockey - Thursdays 3rd,      10th and 17th November - $20 per student (capped at      50 students)
  • Volleyball - Thursdays 24th     November and 1 December - $15 per student (capped at 50 students)

Students can attend one, two or all three activities. Places are limited.

Times

Each session will run from 3pm to 4pm with supervision provided from 2.45pm directly after school finishes.

Community Coaches

Each session will have at least two coaches guiding and encouraging students’ participation.

Soccer - one of the soccer sessions will be run by Redlands United Football Club with P&C support and the other two sessions will be run by a P&C volunteer/s (with coaching experience) supported by the College PE teacher/s.

Hockey – one of the hockey sessions will be run by Redlands Hockey Association with P&C support and the other two session will be run by a P&C volunteer/s (with coaching experience) supported by the College PE teacher.

Volleyball – the two volleyball sessions will be run by a P&C volunteer/s and the College PE teacher.

What students need to bring

Students will need to bring their own water bottles, hats and afternoon snacks.
